The Eye and Ear has almost 60 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose and throat service. Every year the Eye and Ear cares for over 220,000 patients, with over 160,000 outpatients, nearly 44,000 emergency patients and over 17,000 inpatients. The hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure and to improve access for patients, visitors and staff.

About the Role - Service Desk Technician

Come join the Eye and Ear Team as a Service Desk Technician - As aService Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for any IT related issues and queries and will provide exceptional service and assistance to rectify and solve issues as they arise. You will mainly provide phone and email support, remote access support and also face to face and direct contact support. Responsible for providing consulting, technical support and analytical problem tracking services to staff / end users. Work assignments typically involve the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of diverse software applications and hardware systems being used by staff.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable) and evidence of vaccination status. All staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) and for clinical staff, patient facing staff and staff working in clinical areas, it is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of a current influenza vaccination.
