Alex Fraser Group has an opportunity for an experienced and committed Laboratory Technician – Material Testing to join our team based at our Laverton Recycling Facility. This is a hands-on role ensuring data and analysis results are in accordance with our company policies.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Conduct specialist testing of construction samples and recording/reporting test results.
- Maintain test equipment as per OHS/WHS standards and legislation.
- Provide high level data analysis and reporting on compliant and non-compliant results.
- Ensure all plant equipment is maintained at a high standard and operated with Zero Harm philosophy.
This role is a great fit if you:
- Have a strong knowledge and understanding of modern Lab Instrumentation.
- Hold extensive knowledge across construction material sampling testing methods and processes.
- Have experience with concrete/Asphalt operations and technology (highly regarded)
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Have the ability to lift sample bags weighing up to 20kg and above.
- Hold a professional work ethic with a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Are results focused, self –motivated and take pride in your work.
- Have experience with a civil or building industry (highly regarded)
- Possess a positive and high regard for safety policies and procedures.
What we offer:
- $31.17per hour plus penalties, plus super.
- Daily allowance of $31.00 per day.
- Plenty of overtime on offer.
- This is a Monday – Friday role, generally 6am – 4pm, with rostered half day Saturdays.
