RoadTek Gold Coast (Nerang) Operations are seeking a high performing and innovative Construction Worker (Supervisor) to join the team on a permanent basis.RoadTek is a multi-disciplined commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and work on a diverse range of projects which positively improve Queensland communities.In the role of Construction Worker (Supervisor) you will supervise the delivery of civil infrastructure projects throughout all phases of the project cycle to ensure construction and maintenance services meet client and business objectives.You will assist in the effective supervision and utilisation of resources to achieve project outcomes and provide leadership in the implementation of change initiatives at the project level.Accountabilities include: - Assist in the management of projects through all phases of the project cycle.- Liaise and communicate with client, stakeholder and project team.- Provide support and coaching to team members.- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.- Provide leadership and direction to assist in the achievement of project goals.- Assist with resource allocation to ensure effective delivery of the project.- Manage daily projects records so as to monitor financial performance at the project level.- Be innovative and creative in problem solving.This position reports to the Project Manager and has several direct reports.Mandatory requirements: - The recommended applicant may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.- Current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.- Possession of a Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects, plus core Leadership and Management competencies, is required. Alternatively applicants must have the ability to acquire these competencies within 18 months.
