We are seeking a Technical Officer who will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support for the research activities and operations at AIIM,
as well as Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), and Research Translation and Commercialisation Facility (RTCF).
This position is critical in ensuring the longevity of high-end scientific instrumentation, as you provide specialist advice and assistance to stakeholders on a wide range of electric and electronic components in a highly specialised scientific setting, including programming, servicing and operation of controllers, I/O interfaces, and troubleshooting.
The successful candidate will support research staff and HDR students in electronic device design and manufacture, with a strong focus on enhancing the skills of staff and students at AIIM.
You will ensure laboratory equipment is kept in good, working order enhancing efficiency and utilisation, while minimising downtime of instruments.
Candidates must have an Electrical Licence and Electrical Trades Certificate or equivalent, as well as meet the essential criteria listed in the position description.
