About the role
We are currently seeking a Wholesale Banking Know Your Client (KYC) Associate to join our high performing Wholesale Banking team. This entry level associate position offers the role holder the opportunity to learn from the ground up in an area where demand for talent in both the first and second line of defence is ever increasing.
The ideal candidate will have an analytical and process mind-set, great attention to detail and an interest in the Australian and New Zealand regulatory environment. Training and mentoring will be offered to help the associate develop the required competencies to succeed in the position. You will develop expertise in AML/CTF and KYC requirements for different client entity types (e.g. Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts) and the ability to make recommendations based on the analysis performed. Having a base level understanding of KYC and screening is preferred but not mandatory.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- To ensure the bank remains in control and compliant by ensuring Wholesale Banking’s KYC client files are maintained in line with local and global AML / CTF standards.
- Deliver professional and quality service to Rabobank Group clients and staff.
- Complete all PEP & Sanctioned Screening requirements.
- Ensure data captured to internal systems is accurate.
- Establish relationships within key stakeholders across the business, Operations aand Compliance.
- Act as contact for front office on KYC requirements and answer queries where possible or seeking answers from Operations or Compliance where knowledge is limited.
- Proactively manage customer relationships, make contact with clients when required
- Become a KYC subject matter expert (SME) for Wholesale RANZ
- Process orientation, ability to identify improvement opportunities.
- Over time, develop competence to be able to perform Quality Assurance and peer reviews of work completed
- Adhere to bank policy and procedures at all times.
To be successful in the role:
- Degree qualified in a related field and as this is an entry level role, we are seeking a graduate or a candidate with 1 years’ work experience.
- Have knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Have knowledge of the financial services or banking industry would be desirable.
- Strong analytic, communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Customer centric and comfortable working across multiple activities in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
