The LEAP Project is a Public Private Partnership between the Commonwealth (Defence) and Plenary Living (LEAP2) Pty Ltd for the supply and operation of an independent housing environment, on selected bases, for long-term living-in, single Australian Defence Force personnel.
The Position
We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Cleaner Role at Robertson Barracks to join our busy LEAP team. This role is 22.5 hours per week and working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You will be working in a small team of cleaners who are required to:
- Cleaning accommodation rooms and common areas
- Maintaining floor surfaces and wall surfaces (indoors and outdoor)
- Operating specialised cleaning equipment
- Cleaning premises and equipment
- Preparing rooms for guests
- Cleaning at high levels
The successful applicants will also be required to pass an Australian Federal Police check prior to confirmation of employment and obtain a Department of Defence Security Clearance
The person
- Hold full Australian Citizenship due to the secure nature of the site
- Hold a valid Australian drivers licence and reliable transportation to get to the base
- Experience in a similar position as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Chemical handling experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and take pride in your work is essential
- Be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills
- A positive attitude and friendly attitude
