The Role Reporting to the Senior Director, Capital Project Delivery, you will provide leadership to drive quality infrastructure project outcomes through the delivery of complex or high-risk projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies. You will lead staff and manage the engagement of project consultants and contractors to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Through this, you will establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant Government agencies and external organisations to ensure the infrastructure delivery needs are realised. You will provide timely and strategic advice to Project Directors and relevant executive staff within the division and represent Queensland Health in liaison, negotiation, and consultation with internal and external stakeholders. The role will be required to identify and manage complex situations and project risks by developing responses and preventative solutions in consultation with key stakeholders. You will need to coordinate and review written communication on a wide range of subjects including confidential and sensitive matters while ensuring you effectively lead the team in managing the critical paths for projects.
The successful personTo be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in delivering large scale complex projects within a health infrastructure service delivery environment or similar. Although not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded where your proven success in leading and managing a high performing team will be vital, ensuring quality human and financial resource management practices are adhered too. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiations skills at a senior executive level will be a strong focus, allowing you the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders and other industry partners to achieve required outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will possess highly developed research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including the ability to plan, manage and implement strategic solutions in managing outcomes for a portfolio of projects.
