Seeking motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join the team on K8W, Tasmanian Neurosurgical Unit, in the role of Hospital Aide.
The successful applicant will:
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment and adequate stock supply (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in specialty areas.
- Decontaminate, sterilise and maintain specialised equipment.
- Work as a valued member of the K8W team to ensure effective patient flow and optimisation of bed spaces and safe running of the unit.

The Statewide Neurosurgery Unit is a Level 6, state-wide tertiary centre receiving elective and emergency Neurosurgery and Neurology patients. The unit has a total of 24 beds inclusive 6 Neurosurgical High Dependency beds and 4 Neurology specialty beds.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

- Tuesday afternoon
- Wednesday afternoon
- Thursday afternoon
- Friday afternoon
- Saturday afternoon
WEEK 2:
- Monday afternoon
- Tuesday afternoon
- Wednesday afternoon
- Thursday Day
- Friday Day
- Saturday Day
Salary: $58,899 to $61,381 pro-rata per annum + 11% Superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- Identification check
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
