As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.

We are looking for an F&B Administrator (5 or 4 days per week) to join the dedicated Food & Beverage team at MRC. This role will assist with various administration responsibilities, team communications and function execution whilst adhering to a strong compliance focus. The successful candidate will focus on the beverage stock control process across the Caulfield and Sandown racecourses.

This is an exciting opportunity for an administration role that will see you get out from behind the desk. Being a part of choosing wine lists, cocktail menus, Caulfield Cup Carnival planning and much more (maybe even a wine tasting or two)! This is not your average administration role.

This role will be required to travel/work between Caulfield Racecourse and Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) Racecourse. We are open to a full-time 5-day or Part Time 4-day week, please make a note in your cover letter/resume of your preference.

Duties of the Food & Beverage Administrator

  • Assist in the management of TASK stock management system, including data entry and reporting
  • Ensure all beverage purchases and stock transfers are tracked via TASK and internal invoicing systems
  • Continuing opportunities to improve stock control practices and beverage contract compliance
  • Assist front-of-house team with various administrative tasks for raceday’s and non-raceday functions (e.g. menu creation, function administration)
  • Coordinate, collate and distribute F&B department communications.
  • Assist beverage team with monthly stock take process at Caulfield and Sandown to ensure information is sent to finance within required timeframes.
  • Assist with ensuring safety compliance within the department

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a hospitality and/or administration role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while prioritising multiple tasks
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Experience with stock management/Point of sales systems (Desirable)
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office
