Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team based on the Gold Coast at Burleigh Heads. We're looking for someone who is not just doing 101 AP processing, we want you to challenge the status quo and help us improve!

The role:

You will be reporting to the Group Finance Operations Manager and working in a small Accounts Payable team to process invoices from across our sites around the country. You'll apply your energy and passion for AP and process improvement to ideate, design and implement better ways to manage process controls like authorisations and supplier behaviour. You'll have the opportunity to truly learn about the business and to work with other members of the finance team to support more accurate coding and reporting.

This is an on-site role and we are happy to accommodate an earlier start / later finish if you have commitments to work around.

What you’ll do:

Help drive us forward by:

• Understanding our processes and ideating with the team on how we can improve

• Deeply understanding the costs of the business, and working across the finance team to capture and report on these accurately

• Providing exceptional customer service to our suppliers and internal customers

• Pitching in as part of a small team to provide month end support

As well as the AP basics like:

• Coding and entry of supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner

• Verifying that invoices are authorised in accordance with process controls

• Reviewing and responding to emails from internal teams and suppliers

• Reconciling supplier accounts, managing invoice discrepancies, returns and credit notes

• Proof of delivery (POD) collection & tracking of freight services

• You have excellent computer literacy and are comfortable working in MS Excel

• You take ownership of your work and can work autonomously

• You’ve got an eye for detail
