Spend some time and save some money in the beautiful Victorian High Country an hour from Melbourne in a safe, vibrant and fun country hotel.
We are seeking casual cleaners/housekeepers (averaging approx. 4 to 5 hours per day)
Good pay, free accommodation, fun team, professionally run, safe environment.
Ideal for a travelling duo on working holiday visas wanting time to explore a beautiful region and earn some money while doing so.
The role:
Cleaning: 2 to 3 hour morning clean of the downstairs customer areas of the hotel, including dining rooms, bar, bathrooms and verandah. Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting all surfaces.
Housekeeping (10 guest rooms): Cleaning and making up rooms in the upstairs accommodation, plus cleaning the upstairs common areas of corridors, bathrooms and balcony, stocking and cleaning breakfast room. Managing linen orders and consumables.

- Full Fair Work rates and conditions, including penalty rates for evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. We DO NOT pay cash
- Pub style accommodation included at no charge (common bathrooms)

- Friendly country town, with strong tourist trade in the beautiful Victorian High Country close to Lake Eildon and not far from Melbourne
We are seeking:
- Motivated and well presented staff, ideally with cleaning and housekeeping experience, or a willingness to learn and an eye for detail
- You must have a good eye for detail, and pride in the way our hotel is presented to customers in the public areas and accommodation
- Current Australian work rights essential
- 3 month minimum commitment
- You will be living close to guest rooms and using shared guest bathrooms, so appropriate behaviour, minimising impact on hotel guests and leaving common areas such as bathrooms and balcony clean and clear of your possessions is essential
- Ideal for a travelling duo on working holiday visas.
Alexandra is a popular tourist destination nestled in the foothills of the Victorian ranges near Lake Eildon and just an hour from the Melbourne suburbs. Known for just relaxing, or lots of outdoor activities: swimming, fishing, mountain biking, 4WD'ing, bushwalking, boating, golf, dirt biking, canoeing, skiing (Lake Mountain 60 mins, Mt Buller 90 mins) - the great outdoors!
The Corner Hotel Alexandra is a family owned, professionally run, and recently renovated hotel, with a strong local trade and very busy tourist periods. 10 guest accommodation rooms.
