About the role:
Due to substantial growth our client is now turning their focuses on expanding further in the Australian Market. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Representative to join the team and sell software solutions to clients in the horticulture industry. As a hunter for sales, you will be responsible for all new business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the horticulture industry, particularly with growers and farmers.
  • Generate leads through networking, trade shows, cold-calling, and other means.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations of our software solutions.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals.
  • Collaborate with our product development and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the horticulture industry or fresh produce.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in speaking and presenting to all clients from farmers to operations managers up to CEO and GM.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as this role will see you away from home frequently visiting clients from Tasmania to Darwin and more.
